CHOREOGRAPHY

relate to unrelate uncovers a discovery of the impact of touch. There are many levels of touch from within the physical and universal realm of the human species. How do our experiences from "touch" impact and shape each person?

Dancers: Kristina Kong, Jessica Michal, Juliana Martino, Jose Lapaz-Rodriguez, Brie Serafin, Claudia Soga, Rebecca Pavelko, Abigayle Wolski, Kerry Zak, and Oceana Zemanian

Costume/Lighting Designer: Sara Rivera

Obstruct//Human Soul is a self-choreographed solo. Through movement, I explore the personal cyclical feeling that comes through the personal experience of a break-up. It was a collaborative experience with a current Rutgers working musician, Dominic Palombi.  We developed the sound score through the idea of a heartbeat. Working with a live musician challenged myself as an artist and brought to life a deeper more explorative process within my own choreography.

testing the surface is a site-specific work choreographed for the purpose of redefining another peer's artistic values through the idea of "wrecking". With a mixture of improvisation, set choreography, and iMovie editing the performance illuminates the beauty of nature with the physical presence of a body without a face.
